The Criminal Investigations Division (CID) investigates all levels of crimes, including person, property, financial, and major cases. Detectives also conduct background investigations, participate in threat assessments regarding individuals or groups who may pose a danger to the university community, and provide specialized services required for dignitary protection. Detectives will use a methodical approach and investigate each case on its own merits while treating all they encounter with respect, integrity, and fairness. Detectives are available to respond day or night every day of the year to provide the UF community with the highest level of service.
