UFPD’s Criminal Investigations Division (CID) partners with a variety of local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies to leverage the best investigative skills, intelligence, and technologies available. These partnerships strengthen investigative capabilities and enhance the department’s ability to address complex criminal activity affecting the university community.

UFPD detectives participate in several multi-agency task forces that support information sharing and coordinated investigations. Currently, a UFPD detective is assigned to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF). When fully staffed, UFPD detectives are also assigned to the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Task Force and collaborate with regional partners through the local Drug Task Force, expanding investigative capabilities and strengthening partnerships across jurisdictions.
